YES FOLKS, THIS IS A BIGGIE!!!!! My 6 and a half year old just lost his first tooth!!! And to me (who NEVER exagerates) it has already added five years to his used to be baby face!!! See for yourselves....

But he still is and ALWAYS will be my baby!!!!!

Please Pray...

For my grandmother and her family, her sister is currently on life support (as of this afternoon) after a bad reaction to an antibiotic and a dental appointment! Don't ask me how the two of those go together, my grandmother told me but my non-medical thinking mind could not comprehend the two enough to relay the details to you... anyway.... the decision will be made tomorrow morning to remove the life support. Chances of her (Laura) continuing her life here on this earth are not very promising at this point, however she is going to a much better place, so for that we rejoice. Please pray that her husband, children, grandchildren and siblings, will find comfort and peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father, and decisions will come easily as arrangments are made.

I think I met my match in him!

UUUGGGHHHHH, I DID NOT mean for this to happen to my poor blog!! It has just really been a busy busy week, and I have been EXHAUSTED!!! I promise to post this weekend. In the mean time, I'll put some pictures for you to marvel!!!

By the way, the first picture is totally posed!! Aden is not an "attitudy" child, he was just trying to act "cool" and I thought it was a good pictue to post!!!!

It would be better if a WHAT were hanged about my neck??!!??!

Aden comes home from school on the first day of each month with a memory verse to learn. They are LONG verses and HARD (KJV) verses for six year olds in my opinion, however they have the whole month before they are finally tested on them. (Aden has never gotten less than an A either!!, I'm so proud:) Anyway, I always look foward to these verses coming home, and I never "teach" them to Aden, I LEARN them with him, and I LOVE every second of it. We take turns "teaching" each other parts of the verse, and he LOVES teaching it to me... he will sound out the first sound of the word when he can tell I am struggling and it is sooo precious to me. Anyway, I digress...

Yesterday he came home with Matthew 18: 1-6

"At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

We dutifully began to memorize the verse, and I usually try to explain it to Aden verse by verse. I (thought I) knew what the verse was saying, however today I told Aden to look up the verse in my NIV Bible. I think it is good for him to see that the verse really is in the Bible and not just the piece of paper that his teacher sends home, and I think it's good practice for him to be able to "look up" scripture. So he found Matthew 18 and was VERY excited to see that it really was in there!!! He began to read. When he got to verse six I almost fell out of my seat!!! Here is how it is worded in NIV "But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." The words that just hit home, were "causes one of these little ones to sin" WOW! That is a HUGE charge that the Father has given to us as believers! Not just mothers and fathers, but as school teachers, Sunday School teachers, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and family friends!!! God is basically saying that it were better for you to DIE than to lead a small child astray!!! Goodness Gracious!

"Dear God, Please allow me to be an example of You and Your love, to my son, his friends, my students, my nephews, and any other children that I have the priveledge of being an example too! Thank you for having such confidence in me that you have not only put a precious boy in my charge, but are giving me a class of other people's children, one's that may not know who You are and how much You love them. Please allow me to be a source of Your love and acceptance in their lives. In Your Son's name I pray. Amen"

NOT ME MONDAY

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Ok this is my first NMM (obviously, since I just started this blog) so MckMama, I hope I linked you correctly... if not I'm sorry, and will try again next week.. Ok, so this is really fun, here it goes

I certainly DID NOT cheer last night for the Cardinals because there is one extremely loud and boistrous Steelers fan that I have to see on a weekly basis, and I didn't want to listen to his gloating for the next week, month, or year! Nope, not me, I cheered for the Cardinals because they were the underdog!

And I most certainaly DID NOT cheer so loud that I nearly lost my voice when the Cardinals took the lead with just over two minutes left! I mean I am a proper lady, so I just cheered quitely whily perched on the edge of the sofa with my ankles crossed!

I also WOULD NEVER be so tied up in the ball game, that I didn't want to run down stairs to get my husband's dinner, and when I finally did, hurry so fast that I put the sauce on the chicken right out of the fridge even though I knew he would want the sauce warmed up, and just cross my fingers that the chicken would warm the sauce up before he took the first bite! Nope Not Me!!

Ok, that's all I have for this week, so pop on over to MckMama's blog to see what she DID NOT do this week, then if your brave enough post your own Not Me Monday! It's really fun, you'll see!

Snapshots from SuperBowl Sunday!!

I just think this is the most HANDSOME boy in the whole wide world!!!!
Ready for the Pepsi 3D Monster Event!!!!

To quote BonQui Qiu.... "RUDE"

Ok, now for the much anticipated "RUDE" post. First of all let me say, I don't know how to link on here yet, so if you have yet to see Bon Qui Qui please visit youtube and search Bon Qui Qui. I promise you will LOVE it! Now back to your reguarly scheduled program...

I had promised Aden that he would earn a trip to his favorite place (within reasonal driving distance) on earth.... Chuck E Cheese, if he had a good report card and a few good weeks of "no talking in class". So Paul and I had decided that this Saturday was the day! In an effort to conserve money we had eaten before the trip because CEC can just get sooo expensive. Now the thought had crossed my mind to invite Aden's best friend (remember I said no names) but had just put it off and until the thought slipped my mind. Well lo and behold, "BFM" (best friends mom) called about an hour before we were going to leave.... here is a recount of the conversation:

BFM: I was wondering if Aden would want to come play for a while?

Me: Well actually he is in the shower right now and we are getting ready to take him to CEC

BFM: Oh, BF (best friend) has been asking to go there for a week now

Me: Why don't ya'll meet us there?

BFM: Oh, well, I'm really not feeling like it. I mean I'm not sick, I just don't really feel like going out. Hey, would you mind if I gave you some money taking BF with you?

Me: Let me check with Paul and I'll call you right back. (checked with Paul, got the ok)

Me: Ok he says that's fine, we will pick up BF in about an hour. Oh, and we are not eating there, we were just going to buy some tokens and let them play for an hour or so.

BFM: Well, BF will probably be hungry so I will send some money and can you please just buy him some pizza?

Me: I don't think they sell individual slices of pizza

BFM: Then could you please stop by McDonalds and get him a kids meal on the way home?

Me: (stunned) ummmm I guess

Ok, let me start off by saying... who invites their child somewhere?? Also, did she really think that I was going to buy her kid something to eat and let my kid just sit and watch him eat, I mean afterall, it was my child's "special treat" for a good report card, that would be just WRONG to a six year old!!! So after CEC we stopped by MCDonalds (begrudgingly) and ordered TWO kids meals! We get to BF's house to drop him off and guess what??? This is just the icing on the cake guys!!!!

NO ONE WAS HOME!!!!

I would just like to give a big, huge, Bon Qui Qui style "RUDE" to BFM!!!!

Actually, I do like her, and feel sorry for her. As I told my extremely upset hubby "she was just never taught any better"!!!!
